Microsoft has officially unveiled its new mixed reality headset called the Hololens 2.

The second-generation device touts better comfort and more intuitive features based on feedback from its users around the world. It features a denser display, eye tracking, twice the field of view, and biometric authentication through Windows Hello. It also has more ergonomic comfort with a universal fit system that lets you wear it like a hat. The Hololens 2’s weight is more evenly distributed this time and is said to make you feel a lot lighter than the previous iteration. Its display is more energy efficient and is able to last longer compared to the original Hololens.

Along with the Hololens 2, new software called Dynamics 365 will be made available for all Hololens users and developers this year. Along with the improvements in software and hardware, Microsoft touts that the new headset will provide a more tactile, immersive experience to make it feel more natural.
The Microsoft Hololens 2 will be available starting this year with a retail price of USD 3,500, or roughly PHP 183,200 when directly converted.
