HP Mini 5101 Price: Php23,995

First announced last June, the HP Mini 5101 is a 10-inch netbook aimed towards the business class. I think I’ve correctly predicted the retail price to just shy of 5 pesos.

It has the same form factor as the HP Mini Note 2140 only in black, brushed-metallic finish.

HP Mini 5101 NetBook
Intel Atom N280 @ 1.66GHz
10.1” LED widescreen display @ 1024 x 576 pixels
1GB DDR2 RAM
160GB HDD
2MP webcam
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950
WiFi 802.11b/g/n
Gigabit Lan
Bluetooth 2.0
3 x USB 2.0 ports

Comes pre-installed Windows XP Home. The RAM could be upgraded to 2GB too.

HP claims the 6-cell battery can last up to 9 hours at optimal working conditions. The screen resolution isn’t what we’ve expected earlier. Now being sold at Asianic stores for Php23,995.

the resolution doesn’t look good. those few missing pixels are most important when browsing websites.

so that’s P24,000. Hmmm, for an HP, its good. But I think there are other alternatives price-wise =D specs are good though :-)

The spec is good as it 802.11n ready, but only if the resolution is higher than this is a good buy.

other review sites said it is just practically abnout 6hours of battery life, at an average. was supposed to get this but the Toshiba’s real 9hours of battery life really captured my heart.

I’ve heard HP’s mobos are made of VIA chipsets which made the price of it real cheap. I’m not sure about this though.

    CoD on a netbook?

Play it on a machine that can handle the game so you can appreciate it more. CoD is a great game that is just wasted on a mediocre processor, integrated graphics and a tiny screen.

Wala pa sa Asianic na ganyang model, my bro just ask all the personnel in Megamall. Post lang daw yun, as in wala pa dito sa pinas. Ewan ko ba sa kanila bat naglalagay pa sila ng ganung post.

I inquired about this yesterday. was informed by the Asianic personnel that I would have to wait for 2-3 weeks before I can get my hands on it. I also have to pay half right away…regarding the resolution, I specifically asked for the model with the HD resolution (1366×768). they told me they can arrange it naman daw. i dunno lang kung i would have to shell out extra moolah for the upgrade. it also ships with windows xp, not windows 7 kasi yun daw ang package for philippine consumers.
