After mulling over that busted Canon EF 17-85mm lens, I thought it might be a sign to go buy a new walk-around lens (perhaps an L lens) but I ended up getting a macro lens instead (Canon EF 100mm). Was having a hard time at first choosing between the 50mm, 60mm and the 100mm macro but for the extra distance the latter provides, I thought it was the best choice. So, it's true what they say that "getting into macro takes you to a whole new world of photography". Bumped into Art Samaniego of Manila Bulletin during the Nokia N82 Adventure II launch this afternoon and he casually mentioned that there's a new Canon Lens Sale promo going on at Digital Zone. True enough, the prices from previous lens sale was pulled down a bit more, plus a couple new models. Alongside it, Canon also unveiled the new Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8L IS USM PZ, the company’s first-ever L-series power zoom lens for the RF system. Pricing starts at USD 2,499 for the body only, while the RF20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ lens is priced at USD 1,399. Samsung has just announced its latest mirrorless interchangeable lens camera and the successor to last year's NX210 - the Samsung NX300.
