Canon EOS R6 V officially unveiled with RF 24-105mm f/2.8L Power Zoom Lens

Canon has officially introduced the new Canon EOS R6 V, a hybrid-focused full-frame mirrorless camera designed for both professional video creators and photographers. Alongside it, Canon also unveiled the new Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8L IS USM PZ, the company’s first-ever L-series power zoom lens for the RF system.

The EOS R6 V is equipped with a new 24.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor paired with the DIGIC Accelerator and DIGIC X image processors. Canon claims the camera is built to deliver improved autofocus performance, faster readout speeds, and enhanced video capabilities for hybrid creators.

For video, the EOS R6 V supports 6K RAW recording, oversampled 4K video, and Full HD slow motion recording at up to 180fps. It also supports Canon Log 2 and Canon Log 3 for more flexible color grading workflows. The camera features advanced subject tracking with AI-powered autofocus capable of recognizing people, animals, and vehicles.

Meanwhile, the RF 24-105mm f/2.8L IS USM PZ introduces built-in power zoom functionality to Canon’s RF lineup. It also features optical image stabilization and weather-sealed L-series construction.

The EOS R6 V is expected to launch globally by late June 2026. Pricing starts at USD 2,499 for the body only, while the RF20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ lens is priced at USD 1,399. A bundled kit will also be available for USD 3,699. Local Philippine pricing and availability have yet to be announced.
