First announced October of 2008, the MSI Wind U120 was the first netbook from the Taiwanese manufacturer to have built-in 3.5G (HSDPA) capability. Last week, MSI and Sun Wireless Broadband had a roadshow event showcasing the U120 and the U100 Plus earlier mentioned here. Along with an 8.9" MSI Wind U91, the Wind U120 will also be coming out this December. For a price point of under $600, the MSI Wind U120 could be another best seller. Earlier this month, we discovered the MSI Wind PC as the desktop version of the popular netbooks. The MSI Wind PC isn't really that small but for the retail price of Php14,995 I still find it a bit on the expensive side. I've got the chance to get fairly acquainted with the MSI Wind U100, one of the early competitors in the 10" range of the UMPC market. MSI did the right thing by skipping the 7-inch segment and went all-out with a 10-incher (there's an MSI Wind U90 at 8.9" but was never launched in the Philippines and the version I got was the MSI U100XP 10" running Windows XP).
