Got word from one of the reps from Globe last night that the white variant of the iPhone 4 will be available in the Philippines this week-end. Now that’s fast.
The white iPhone 4 will initially be initially available in Globe Business Centers in the NCR (Metro Manila) region.
No specifics were given if it’s going to be Saturday or Sunday (but I guess it will be Saturday) but you will definitely be able to see and get one this week-end. The price of the white variant will be the same as the black one.
Globe Telecom is the exclusive distributor of the iPhone 4 in the Philippines.

Not sure if it’s true.. but I heard that there were complaints about the thickness of the iPhone white.. It’s thicker than the black, which would be seriously troublesome when buying a case. I wouldn’t dare buy an iPhone, without purchasing a case.

Just got back from Globe MegaMall.
Wala pa raw yung white iPhone 4. To be delivered pa lang daw. They can’t guarantee when it will arrive and there are NO reservations.
WTF?!!!
Eh nagkalat na sa iba-ibang websites ang press release ng Globe tapos yung mismomg mga Globe call center reps and even the Business Center personnel puro walang alam.
Epic fail.
Law says:
I had the same experience when i dropped by SM Megamall inquiring about their white Iphone 4. The sales rep did not know that it will be available today as stated in their website.
I wasted my time going there and the people from that business center didnt even know any information about its exact arrival date.

Im sure those working in globe are the first one to have the white iphone, then sell it to friends an make a profit!
Clyde says:
The difference in thickness is really felt despite being a mere 2mm only. I use a mophie juicepack for my iPhone 4 (bec we all know that battery life sucks) and when my friend and I tried to put her white iPhone 4 in it, it did slide down albeit a bit snug, but the port is not aligned rendering it useless. So yes, black iPhone 4 users who want to switch to the white one will have to buy a new set of accessories.

Hi guys,
have a question, my dad bought an iphone4 recently in HK and found out the external speakers don’t work. i checked the mute switch, speaker phone (while in a call).. and it still doesn’t work. any ideas on the defect? where can i have this fixed?
everything else works well, hearing sound through the headphones works, talking on the phone works also, it’s just the external speaker that doesn’t seem to work.
is this a common defect present in iphone4’s or we were just unlucky to get a defective one?
thanks for the input
