Spotted: Fake Apple Store in China?

Remember that huge story about fake Apple Stores across mainland China last August? There were over 20 of them found to be just a local reseller labeling their stores as “Apple Store”. They have all allegedly been renamed since then but I accidentally spotted one tonight.

I had to go out tonight to look for an Apple USB Ethernet Adapter to use with my Macbook Air in the hotel (forgot mine at home).

This store was spotted outside the Yian Department Store here in Dongguan, China.

I went inside the store and the friendly staff attended to me right away. I think one of them saw me taking pictures earlier but since I was buying something from the store, I think they did not suspect anything.

The store looks like your typical Apple Reseller Store. It just that the glowing Apple logo at in the store wall wasn’t really done well it feels like a fake.

Event the shopping bag that they give away has the name Apple Store in it. The official receipt is what gave them away. It says China Unicom with an added print that says Authorized Reseller.

Nakakatakot na nga bumili ng Apple “self proclaimed” items overseas like ung mga discounted iPhones, iPod and iPads panigurado ung IBA ngtitinda ng ganun ay fake din since hindi sila authroized reseller. “Di na bale mahal basta original”.

ganun kasi mga chinese maramot sila, gusto nila kanilang product ayaw nila mag papasok ng ibang products from other countries. ganun ka swapang mga businessman dyan sa mainland china..

dito sa cebu…talagang orig ang store kc…nasa loob nang SM. but apparently meron akong nakitang unit(mcbook) dito sa taiwanese store…and they selling it for only 13.5k lang.talagang rampant na ngaun ang mga fake…pati nga sa babae maraming fake world wide pa nga….hehehe

Whew. Oh well, China… lahat na lang kaya nila gawan ng imitations. Sana gumawa na lang din sila ng imitation ng Spratly Islands… LOL. Hahahaha! :|

i think what they meant by fake aaple store is hindi sya tulad ng apple store sa states but the product that they are selling is really for apple products i think hehe siguro orig naman pero yung store na yun authorised reseller lang hindi sya talaga apple store just my 2 cents :)
