Listen to article

The Infinix NOTE 40 Pro 5G Series is arriving in the Philippines on April 24, 2024, the brand announced on Friday. It consists of two models, the Infinix NOTE 40 Pro and NOTE 40 Pro+ both carrying the 5G moniker.

Intriguingly, a vanilla NOTE 40 exists, but Infinix is keeping that under wraps for now.

To recap, the two Pro models boast identical features: a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset, and a 108MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS).

But the real star of the show is the 100W fast charging – the NOTE 40 Pro+’s crown jewel. Infinix adds a dedicated Cheetah X1 chip to handle this charging speed, potentially offering some battery protection as well. The company claims the phone can juice up to 50% in a mere 8 minutes.

The key differentiator between the two Pros lies in the battery. The NOTE 40 Pro+ opts for a smaller 4,600mAh cell with the aforementioned 100W charging, while the Pro gets a beefier 5,000mAh battery but settles for slower 45W charging.

Elsewhere, the specs sheet boasts 20W wireless charging, JBL-tuned dual speakers for immersive audio, and a VC cooling system for improved thermals.

Infinix pledges two years of Android updates and three years of security patches for the Note 40 Pro Series. Hence, these devices will at least reach Android 16, considering they launch with Android 14 pre-installed.

The company has also set up a Shopee listing Shopee → for the Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G, going live at midnight on April 24th (or technically 11:59 pm on April 23rd). Keep your eyes peeled for further updates!
