OPPO will formally make its presence in the Philippines in April 10 and, along with it, 5 new Android-based smartphones including the Find 7 and the N1 with rotating camera.

The entire handset fleet will be officially launched on April 10 and we’ve got an early unit of the OPPO N1.

The OPPO N1 is very famous for its 206-degrees rotating rear camera. While all other smartphone brands are making the front-facing camera more powerful, OPPO decided to just rotate the 13-megapixel rear camera to the front along with its dual-LED flash.

And the suggested retail price is pegged at Php26,990 but it could change a bit before they officially announce in in April 10. We know it’s a bit steep, and that innovative rotating camera lone will not cut it, so we hope they’d reconsider.

SnapDragon 600 chipset, no LTE, and 26k? They are insane! You can easily pick up a Nexus 5 now days much cheaper. Or an LG G2 and still come out better than this

WTF! How can you say it’s “front-facing” and at the same time in it is “rotating” camera?

If it can be rotated, then it is not exactly front-facing.

This might be hard to sell in emerging markets. The price and specs are at par with the known brands that have already established their presence.

wow bigat nito ah. sigurado ngalay kamay mo dito. di pa yata nila nakikilala si nexus 5. nagmahal lang dahil sa rotating camera na prone to breaking/loosening.

Target din kasi ng Oppo ang Western market kaya nilakihan nila ang screen. Kung mapapanood mo ang video ng youtube reviewer na si Marques Brownlee, parang 4″ phone lang ang nexus 5 sa laki ng kamay nya.

@zobel Wrong: android has been around the market since 2003 at hindi sila sikat noon, nagkaroon lang sila ng major financing gear noong nabili ng google. Typical filipino comment din ang nagrereklamo na wala namang batayan di ba? nasabi kong create your own OS dahil wala ka namang nilalatag na facts kung bakit ayaw mo sa OS na di mo pa nasusubukan. Complaining too much without anything to back it up is stupidity.
