YouTube Music now allows offline music listening

Listen to article

YouTube now allows users to listen to music when offline if they are a YouTube Red member.

For 30 days, YouTube Red members can easily download music from YouTube Music and listen to them afterward offline or without using data. Users can download the audio file only which means the file size of the music will be smaller than the original size. There are two ways subscribers can download audio directly from YouTube:

  • Turn on user’s online mixtape. The application will automatically download content based on the user’s listening history.
  • Choose specific playlists, songs, or albums to download.

In order for the user to turn on their online mixtape, just follow these steps:

1. Open the YouTube Music app.
2. Tap your profile photo.
3. Tap Offline.
4. Tap Make my offline mixtape.
