First seen at CES 2009 back in January, Dell finally revealed details of their ultraslim Adamo laptop the other day. And it’s no secret Dell is aiming to pit Adamo against Apple’s Macbook Air.
Dell claims the Adamo is the new thinnest laptop, at 0.65 inches (16.39mm) compared to the Macbook Air’s 0.76″ base.

Dell Adamo specs:
13.4″ 720p HD 16:9 display @ 1366×768 pixels
1.4GHz & 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB & 2 GB DDR3 RAM
128GB Solid State Drive
Intel GS45 Integrated Graphics w/ 256MB RAM
WiFi 802.11n
Gigabit LAN
Bluietooth 2.1
Mobile Broadband (Dell Wireless 5530 HSPA Mini Card) optional
1.3Mp webcam
3 USB 2.0 ports, RJ-45 port, Display Port
MS Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit

It’s a little heavier though, at 1.81kg or 4 lbs. Dell promises 5 hours of battery life.

The price is also something — $1,999 for the basic specs and $2,699 for the upgraded one. That does not include the Adamo external DVD-Writer or an external Blu-ray disk drive.

And since Dell conspicuously named this Adamo Thirteen, it gave credence to that leak that there’s an upcoming Adamon 9 luxury netbook.

sometimes and most most of the time, looks can be deceiving. seeing the design of this model is always telling me that it’s an apple-like NB. “wow, i like your dell its so thin, it surely got the looks, nothing but the looks. pardon me for the pun.”
