Sony has announced their newest members to the Cyber-shot series, sporting ZEISS lenses and 4K video recording, the Sony DSC-HX99 and DSC-HX95.
The DSC-HX99 and DSC-HX95 are designed for those who are looking for a compact camera with a versatile zoom range and 4K vide orecording capabilities. They’re basically twins, but only the HX99 has a Control Ring and Touch Focus/Touch Shutter.
The two cameras sport ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T 24-720mm lenses with Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation, 28x optical zoom with Zoom Assist, and an 18.2MP 1/2.3 type (7.82mm) Exmor R CMOS sensor. Powering it is the BIONZ X image processing engine. Other features include 4K and 100fps video recording, built-in flash, WiFi, retractable OLED Tru-Finder, and a 180-degree tiltable LCD touch screen.
The new Sony Cyber-shot HX99 and HX95 will ship in Europe from October 2018, priced at approximately £450 and €520 in Ireland for HX99 and £430 and €500 in Ireland for HX95.
