It seems the people in Meta are helping users find love as they reveal new updates for Facebook Dating to ‘avoid swipe fatigue’.

There will be two new features in Facebook Dating: Meet Cute and a dating assistant.
With the dating assistant, it allows Facebook to search for better matches based on the user’s interests and preference, personalizing their journey. One instance the brand gave is a user can write “Find me a Brooklyn girl in tech” and the dating assistant will help them with the search. The assistant can also be used to provide dating ideas or provide tips to have a more aesthetic profile.
The Meet Cute feature lets users automatically be paired with a surprise match based on Meta’s personalized matching algorithm. According to Meta: “Meet Cute is ideal for anyone who’s tired of swiping and is looking for a fresh, easy way to expand their typical pool of dating candidates.” It is a feature that can be turned off.
So far, the update will first roll out to the US and Canada. We have yet to know if this will arrive globally.
