Listen to article

But then again, blogging ads are a sign that there are no higher paying ads available for your page.

That’s true abe, removing that keywords would help, and if you are really serious about removing blog related ads, you have to;

1. remove links to other blogs
2. reformat your template such that it doesnt look like a ussual blog template,
and most importantly,
3. use adsense section targeting, http://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=23168&topic=371

My ads are all about blogs all the time, hahaha. It was all about hurricane katrina before I realize that the adsense spider does not like sessions.

I haven’t had blog related ads on my front-page for a while now. My guess is that adsense not only gets their ads from what is on the page, but also the historic content of the site. It took some time before I got rid of blog ads even after it I stopped talking about blogs and removed blogrolls from my pages except one. Google also has an adsense spider that comes in once in a while on new entries. I wonder how it uses that spider to affect ads displayed.
