Infinix will reportedly roll out a significant AI upgrade for its devices: DeepSeek R1 integration. The company is expected to make an official announcement on February 26, with the new features debuting on the upcoming NOTE 50 series.

DeepSeek R1 will bring AI-driven improvements to Infinix’s AI voice assistant “Folax”, that allows for smoother voice interactions.

Users will be able to activate it by voice or by pressing the power button, streamlining tasks like searches and commands. Early tests suggest that Folax is now faster and better at handling complex queries, even showing its reasoning for more difficult questions.

DeepSeek has been gaining popularity worldwide, topping download charts in 140 countries on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Many users see it as a strong alternative to ChatGPT, offering a mix of affordability, accuracy in technical tasks, and faster response times.

The NOTE 50 Series, which will include multiple models mainly the NOTE 50, and the NOTE 50 Pro+, is set to launch in Indonesia on March 3.

However, not all models are expected to launch at the same time, with some likely to follow later.
