nubia REDMAGIC 9S Pro to launch July 3

ZTE’s nubia brand has announced a launch event for the REDMAGIC 9S Pro on July 3rd. The biggest focus this time around seems to be on AI-powered features.

Don’t expect a massive hardware overhaul, though. If nubia follows suit with their strategy from the REDMAGIC 8S Pro, the 9S Pro will likely sport the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor found in its predecessors.

The gorgeous 6.8-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh and Gorilla Glass 5 protection is also expected to carry over.

Camera configurations might stay the same as well. A triple-lens setup on the back: 50MP main, another 50MP sensor, and a 2MP tertiary lens.

Another area that might see tweaks is the battery. The REDMAGIC 9 Pro came with a hefty 6,500mAh battery, while the 9 Pro+ opted for a smaller 5,500mAh option. It’s anyone’s guess which battery capacity nubia will pick for the 9S Pro.

We’ll have to wait until next week’s official announcement for full specs, price, and availability details.
