When picking up a new smartphone, one of the most essential things we look for is the camera. Aside from having a sleek build, efficient performance, and a good battery life, users like me rely on my smartphone’s cameras all the time for my work and personal activities.

That said, as the title suggests, we are focusing on some of the best camera features I found on the realme 15 Pro 5G. We’ll explore more on its camera system on how it handles photography with its triple 50-megapixel camera setup, so you know exactly what kind of imaging experience you’re getting.
Quick specs recap
Before anything else, let’s have a quick rundown of the phone’s specs. The realme 15 Pro 5G sports a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with support for 144Hz refresh rate and has a peak brightness of 6500 nits.

It’s packing a huge 7000mAh battery and has an 80W SUPERVOOC support for fast charging. Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB to 512GB storage option.
Moving on to cameras, the realme 15 Pro carries a triple 50-megapixel setup: a 50MP main shooter, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP selfie camera.
So, with that out of the way, let’s now dive into its camera capabilities and fun features.
Dual-View Video Camera Feature
The very first thing I find useful is the Dual Camera Mode called “Dual-View video”. It’s great to use when going on adventures or just making content to document your life and activities. This feature is exciting and fun, something I love to play around with because I love making content, and I’m always on the go.

It’s a notable camera feature that lets users utilize both the primary and the selfie cameras at the same time.
I think this actually fits those who are in the content creation field as it can be a trusty buddy when shooting spontaneous content and bits of life. And just so you know, you can shoot a video resolution of up to 1080p at 30 fps when using this mode, so it’s still good for your online uploads.
Here is our sample video using the Dual Camera Mode:
Underwater Photography
Now, we’re taking the talk underwater (literally). Similar to flagship devices, the realme 15 Pro 5G is IP66, IP68 and IP69-certified, providing protection against dust and water, even water submersion.
Like I said earlier, you can bring this phone on adventures and that includes water activities! And for that, there’s a dedicated Underwater mode that you can find in the More options, along with the Dual Camera Mode, et cetera.

Any smartphone screens don’t work when submerged underwater, so with this feature, you can use the volume rockers to capture images or video. You can also press and hold the volume down button to switch between the rear and front cameras while underwater.

Additionally, such ingress protection or IP ratings degrade over time, so I would recommend to use Underwater mode occasionally.
Night Photography
Now, night photography is often where most smartphones fall short, but the realme 15 Pro does it fairly well, given its mid-range class. The 50-megapixel main sensor combined with decent software processing, it can surprisingly output usable and decent shots.
realme’s AI tools, like AI Party Mode, help brighten dark scenes and keep details visible. Night photos from the main lens show good exposure and balanced colors with minimal noise. Just keep a steady hand or use a tripod for the best results.
The ultra-wide lens still does fine at night, though it’s softer and is noisier than the main sensor. And since there’s no optical zoom, digital zoom at night can drop image quality.
That said, don’t expect pro-level results for astrophotography or heavy zoom work. But for your casual night shots, cityscapes, dinners, or concerts? The realme 15 Pro 5G will do just fine.

AI Landscape
Further talking about AI, we have AI Landscape. It will analyze the scene and enhance details, colors, and lighting, making landscapes appear clear, vibrant, and balanced even in low light or unfavorable weather conditions.
When shooting in this mode, it will guide you to properly align your shots towards the subject for better image composition. You can shoot in both ultrawide and main cameras with a capability to zoom in up to 20x.

Film Filters and AI Editing Tools

And lastly, you can give your photos a lil’ bit of spice with Film Filters available inside the Camera app. There are six film filters available: Mountain, Island, City, Fresh, Emerald, and Clear, that you can choose to give your image a mood and vibe.
Another thing to mention, there’s this quirky lighting effect in the default photo mode. A sparkle of hearts and starbursts that will appear when there’s an adequate amount of light in your image. I find it cute and just gives a bit of oomph to your shots.

Of course, this phone wouldn’t miss out on a ton of AI features. These include new tools like AI Recompose that makes your image properly proportioned and clear; AI Glare Remover, and other helpful built-in tools in the Gallery app.
But I’d like to highlight the AI Perfect shot and AI Edit Genie, both of which I only heard about on this smartphone. Sometimes, even the nicest shots might fail to show our best angles or smiles… the AI Perfect Shot will take care of that for you.
On the other hand, the AI Edit Genie is a tool for editing images by using your voice or text commands. Users can simply instruct the AI to adjust the background, remove things such as a photobomber, or change the colors and attire.

Final Thoughts
That wraps up this guide, but mind you, the realme 15 Pro 5G still has a ton more camera features to offer that anyone will surely find useful for their mobile photography game.
So, if you’re in the market for a phone that delivers strong camera performance without going premium flagship-price, the realme 15 Pro 5G hits many right marks: a high-res main sensor, a high-res ultra-wide lens, strong selfie camera, great night performance, and tons of AI features.
However, the omission of a dedicated telephoto lens is a main compromise, and one you should weigh depending on how you shoot.

Despite the fact, it’s a dependable partner that does most of the heavy lifting without showing off too much. It doesn’t pretend to be a high-end DSLR replacement, but for everyday smartphone photography, with a bit of “wow” here and there, it gets the job done.
For users out there who want a smartphone with very good camera chops, strong overall specs, and AI helpful features that’ll make your life easier, this one is worth a shot.
