Won’t it slow down the computer? I’ve installed something like that before but it somehow affected the computer speed.
jayvee f. says:
mac-like dashboard? why not just … get a mac? :D heehee okay sige tama na :D
Jaypee says:
I’ve tried this and also Object Dock before but eventually I grew tired of it. Hehe
You can find a lot of app icons for it in Deviantart. This would go nicely with Yahoo! Widgets. It would add more to a Mac-like interface.
jet says:
Same here. Used Object dock for a few months when I was trying to get my desktop to look exactly like a Mac OS, but grew tired of it when it slowed my laptop down.
Dave Starr says:
This one certainly looks like a solution in search of a requirement. Windows has the exact same thing built into the Start bar (next to the Start button (which can be at the bottom, on either side or on top by the way, just by dragging). In the example screen shot the user’s QuckStart Bar seems to be turned off.
You just drag a program’s icon there and presto it’s always one click away. Why duplicate the exact same functionality that Windows already has? Lord knows there’s enough functionality that Microsoft left out.
If you really want custom icons you can edit/replace the .ICO file for any application … Life hacker has some good stuff but they sometimes have gimmicks that just don’t seem to be well thought out.
Abe Olandres says:
Just out of curiosity. Un-installed it the following day. :D
