Google launches Nano Banana 2

Google has introduced Nano Banana 2 which is also known as Gemini 3.1 Flash Image.

Google has unveiled its latest AI image generation model with Nano Banana 2.

It mixes the advanced reasoning and visual quality of Nano Banana Pro. The brand also states that Gemini Flash will have faster performance.

Nano Banana 2 improves its world knowledge, text rendering and translation within images. It can generate accurate text for posters or marketing materials and translate content into different languages.

The model also supports consistency for multiple characters and objects, stronger instruction following and resolutions ready for production ranging from 512px to 4K.

Nano Banana 2 is rolling out across Google products including the Gemini app, Search, AI Studio, Vertex AI, Flow and Google Ads. Nano Banana Pro will still be available for tasks needing more precise and accurate responses.
