I still don’t get the rage these days with popular Chinese phones. Shell out a few more bucks and you’ll have a branded, warrantied and guaranteed software updates from the big 4: Sammy, Apple, LG and Sony.

No to Chinese-branded phones! Charot.

Dude, with that price, what can you possibly buy in a samsung store? In apple? In Lg? In Sony? That can match the specs of this phone? My phone, cherry mobile, other local brands, have their own warranty and support. Some of them sucks, but what’s important is, there is a support present for each brand.
Honestly, I have the money to buy branded phones. But because these phones wouldn’t last in my pocket’ (upgrades to most recent hardware candy phones) I would prefer to shell out less than 15k to get a phone with this kind of hardware.

Unless we get the ara this year, people would prefer these kinds of gadgets over samsung, apple, lg, or sony.

The reality will still be people opting to a cheaper but powerful phones. Branding these days ain’t worth it.

wow.. the specs are okay for its price.. 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, full HD, 2.3 GHZ speed, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, WiFi Direct, even the battery is okay as well, a thing most mobile phones fail to meet. nice.

Yep pretty sad pero you have to admit at this price point and with top-notch processor and GPU this is a freaking steal. Kung more storage ang kelangan just get the 32GB variant I’m pretty sure 2-3K lang ang difference.

Ok lng nman kase pinagbawal n rin nman ng google ang apps2sd tangibg gamit n lng ng sd card e music at movies n lng which i think d n masyadong kailangan lalo n kung 16 to 32gb k n for music pero sa movies well essential sya.

@Rambsey. You are either a promoter of this company or an owner who prides using the device and the brand. Your comment has unfounded facts. First, Xiaomei is a billion-dollar non US company. Second, it cannot possible brand itself as Apple in China because no other legal and authorized entities resells the Apple brand.

Set it straight.

Hey @Justine, you must have misunderstood the comment of @Rambsey. 1st he only meant that Xiaomi, as a company, is worth a BILLION (US) DOLLAR. 2nd some critics labeled Xiaomi as the Apple of China, that’s simply because Xiaomi was able to overtook Apple in its MARKETSHARE in China.

He just meant that Xiaomi is popular and big name in China like how Apple is popular in the West.
And a billion dollar(US) company just what karl said.

Me too. Hindi aabot ng ganyan ang Xiaomi kung walanh reputasyon. As much as I would love to love our local products, they’re poor at customer service at hindi durable talaga. I tried both cherry mobile and myphone androids, they only lasted for a few months, cherry mobile only lasted 2 months.. Tsk tsk nakakainis. So i bought iphone 5s of my hard earned money and now xiaomi mi3 coz i’ve been waiting for this. This phone really has good reviews and feedback online from around the world, hindi lang sa china.. Peace for cherry mobile or myphone fans, but i can no longer stand the poor quality ng local phones natin..

I’m buying this because cherry mobile or myphone are fragile phones. Xiaomi is a Billion US dollar company. They’re labeled as Apple in China. Durability wise, our local phones are way too poor.

Snapdragon 800 + Adreno 330? Shutup and take my money! Sayang at 16gb lang ang internal.. Alam ko may 64gb version neto (correct me if I’m wrong). An additional 1k-2k for 64gb? Why not. This is a steal for it’s price.. Pero sana pumasok din sa Pinas ang 1+1 (crossed-finger).

Para sa mga taong nagsasabing pangit ang quality ng China brands. Please do some research. Ang mura mura magpiso net eh. -_-

excuse me,OPPO,XIAOMI ETC.are new company and not popular outside china but its hell not cheap, snapdragon chipsets are not cheap infact its better than MTK processors, which is inside phones like cherrymobile, myphone and yes! LENOVO so saying those brands are cheap is somewhat..hmmm
im using SUMSUNG NOTE 3 by the way,but im not BIAS to it..

And to think, LTE in the Philippines is a bit pricey and yet gives poor bandwidth allocation. I’m still fine on WCDMA. Unless they change the 1.5gb cap a month to 1.5gb a day, there and then i’ll buy an LTE phone.

Dami nagrereklamo at nang babash sa xiaomi mi3. Tignan niyo nga specs niyan. Wala kayong makukuhang ganyan kataas ang specs at that price. Closest competitor na may Snap 800 ay nexus 5 at lg g2 at above 19 k. Di rin expandable memory nun. So ang advantage lang talaga nun ay brand at lte. This is definitely a good buy. Kung may 15k lang ako on hand. Bibili na ko nito.

The hardware is pretty awesome for the price. In terms of performance, this will destroy the similarly-priced “local” Mediatek octa-core flagships.

Note though that the Xiaomi phones on Lazada are from a third party seller, and are most likely gray market units. If warranty matters to you, wait for Xiaomi to officially launch their phones here.

For me, the phone looks promising. I agree it is on the upper side of the pricing but that may be because of exploration phase in the part of the manufacturer/distributor. Hopefully they get to have a better pricing offer para mai-try ng mas marami.

Ang wishlist ko naman for personal preferences:
– microSD support para mas maraming videos and pics
– more manufacturer options for accessories esp cases
– more accessories out of the box

peace techies.. :)

psikick · 12 years ago

First off, Xiaomi is a very well known brand in China. In fact, they sell more phones in China than Apple. Hindi po low quality ang Xiaomi.

The Mi3 for 15k is expensive but that is only because this is a very late release here in the Philippines. Nilabas po yan nung Sept 2013 pa. Xiaomi follows Apple in pricing. Meaning yung new model nila, same price lang sa old model. So when they release the Mi-4 in a few months with top specs like S5/HTC One M8/LG G3/Xperia Z2 and they sell it at less than 18k. I’m sure all of you doubters will change your mind and buy this phone. :)
