GCash just teamed up with Lazada to bring even more payment options to customers. Starting today, shoppers can now use their GCash wallet to purchase items at the e-commerce platform.
The option to pay by GCash will appear upon checkout. Customers need only to select GCash as payment, link their GCash-registered mobile number, and tap to confirm payment. After that, the GCash account will be saved as the primary payment method for future purchases.
“Being able to shop online using the GCash App solves two problems, mainly providing access and convenience to consumers to shop online without a credit card, and enabling merchants to expand their consumer base and minimize risk on COD transactions” — Anthony Thomas, Mynt’s President and CEO.
The two companies will also be holding multiple promotions for those who’ll use GCash as a payment method during the upcoming 11.11 and 12.12 Lazada sales. These promotions include as much as 50% discount of up to Php 300 and 20% discounts of up to Php 200 on flash sales.
