Google Street View Car spotted along EDSA

Listen to article

Earlier today, a Google StreetView car was spotted plying the roads of EDSA, possibly taking 360-degree photos of the main streets.

The project could just be in its early stage for Metro Manila but we could be seeing Street View available in the Philippines real soon.

its a must for google though Manila is major key city in the world, kaya kelangan nila magkaroon ng data sa mga streets and major toroughfare ngmetro manila…the downside, nakupo makikita ang lukot lukot na streets with all those traffic jams and with matching sari sari streets on the side hahaha!!

Well this is good news na din para sa mga kababayan nating nasa abroad na namimiss ang manila…they could go around and reminisce :-)

Can this car just be carrying advertisement of google street view on its body and not actually photo mapping the metro?

The camera is visible on two of the photos. It’s the round gadget on the roof.

transit time end to end of EDSA via commute, if google really accurately report, should be more or less 3-4hrs, else they doesn’t really measure it, :-)

Probably, all the buses, heavy traffic and probably some crossing civilians in the highway will give the correctly picture of how EDSA look like in 360 street view. :3
