Google’s latest AI upgrade just landed on the Play Store, and it’s about to make app shopping a lot easier. The company is now rolling out AI-generated review summaries that give users a quick snapshot of what people are saying about an app without scrolling through endless reviews.

The new “Users are saying” section appears above the usual review list, offering a short AI-written paragraph summarizing the most common praises and complaints. You’ll also see interactive chips underneath, letting you jump straight to reviews about specific topics, like “battery life” or “performance.”
As expected from Google, the rollout is gradual, so not everyone will see it right away. The feature only shows up for apps with a substantial number of reviews, though the exact threshold remains unclear.
Interestingly, Apple beat Google to the punch earlier this year, adding a similar AI review feature to the App Store back in April.
