Some good news for owners of one of Samsung’s budget-midrange phone from 2015.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2015) will soon get Android 7.0 Nougat, on November 3 to be specific. It’s not as soon as we thought at first but it’s better than not receiving any software update and fix, right? When the update arrives, it could be the final major Android OS update from Samsung.

The phone has enough specifications to run Nougat smoothly, and we don’t see any reason for it not to have the update. Despite having an AMOLED display though, the Galaxy J5 will not get a taste of the Always On Display feature.

Bakit yung j5 2015 ko pag chinecheck ko software update ang lumabas ‘the latest update has been installed’ pero still 5.1.1 lollipop pa rin? bakit ganun? hays patulong po thanks!

Sabi ay yung model no. lang na SM-J500F lang ang magkakamayroon ng update na nougat. Dito sa Philippines ang J5 model ay SM-J500H, pero umaasa pa rin ako

Sir sure naba na merong update na nougat ang samsung j5 2015 sa philippines? Kasi ni marshmallow wala ako na re-receive. Nasa lollipop 5.1.1 palang unit ko. Thanks!!.

on topic: medyo pareho ng soc (sd410) sa cm android one g1 (na may nougat update at april 5, 2017 security patch).
ano na kaya ang presyo nito ngayon sakaling may old stocks pa?

magandang plano ito ng samsung pero sana mas madali na ang mga major OS at security updates nila para sa kanilang phone lineup.

Bakit yung Galaxy Note Edge po wala pa ding Marshmallow Update? I think Update was already announced as early as 2015 and was posted here at Yugatech.
