Visa and GoTyme Bank have entered a multi-year partnership aimed at accelerating the adoption of digital payments in the Philippines, South Africa, and future Southeast Asian markets. The agreement was announced during the Singapore Fintech Festival, one of the largest global gatherings in the financial-technology sector.

Under the deal, Visa will support GoTyme Group’s regional growth through enhanced card-issuance programs, joint marketing initiatives, improved digital infrastructure, and data-driven financial solutions. Both companies said the collaboration is geared toward strengthening secure, seamless, and inclusive payment systems in emerging markets where digital transactions continue to rise.
Visa Philippines Country Manager Jeffrey Navarro said the partnership aligns with Visa’s efforts to promote financial inclusion and broaden digital access. He added that connecting Filipino consumers and small businesses to global payments infrastructure remains a key priority.

GoTyme Group Founder and CEO Coenraad Jonker described the agreement as a “major milestone,” noting that the partnership will help the company scale its presence in the Philippines and South Africa while preparing for expansion into other Southeast Asian markets.
GoTyme Bank, which launched in 2022, has reported rapid growth in its user base. President and CEO Nate Clarke said deeper collaboration with Visa will support the bank’s long-term goal of becoming one of the country’s most transformative financial institutions. According to GoTyme, its Visa debit card posted a 153 percent surge in transaction volume in 2024, and the bank now has over 6.5 million users with more than PHP 37 billion in deposits.
The companies said the expanded partnership will focus on improving the overall digital payment ecosystem, supporting small businesses, and offering consumers more secure and convenient ways to transact locally and internationally.
