Google is expanding YouTube Premium’s benefits for their subscribers with better audio quality in music videos, faster playback speeds and a jump ahead button.
There will be a few new features for those subscribed to YouTube Premium. One of them is high-quality audio which originally was for YouTube Music. Now, users can check out official or premium music videos with enhanced audio. This feature is only available for Android and iOS.
Another new benefit is faster playback speeds where users can go up to 4x in speed with 0.05 increments on more devices. This feature is now fully available on Android, iOS, and the web.
There is also the jump ahead button where it can take users to key moments in a click of a button. It is already available on Android, iOS, and web, but now it is available for YouTube main on Smart TVs & Gaming Consoles too.
There are also new updates for Shorts like Shorts Smart Downloads where it downloads the Shorts automatically based on your watch history and Shorts Picture-in-Picture (PiP). This allows Shorts to keep playing in a small window while you scroll through other content on your device. It is now available for both iOS and Android.
