On paper, the rear cameras appear to be carryovers from its predecessor. The rear camera of the Reno 15 F is comprised of a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. OPPO did upgrade its front-facing camera by replacing the 32-megapixel lens with a 50-megapixel sensor.

In real-world use, its camera performance is honestly impressive. The photos come out sharp and crisp, together with vibrant colors which are well-balanced and have a good amount of detail.

The rear camera provides 0.6x and 2x of zoom ranges, and even up to 10x digital zoom, but the clarity drastically degrades at that point.

Macro photography is another pleasant surprise. Subjects are captured cleanly, focus locks in quickly, and image processing is fast. For the most part, I didn’t feel the need to tweak any settings, as the phone does a solid job of automatically adjusting exposure and colors.

Night photography is also surprisingly dependable. In Portrait mode, it had difficulty in tracking the subject at night because it loses focus during dim conditions and the LED flash remains unavailable in this mode.

To mitigate that, the Photos app includes AI Flash Photography which adds artificial lighting to create studio-style portraits.

The default Photo mode produces excellent outcomes compared to Night mode with flash disabled.

Selfies are where this phone really shines. Thanks to the new 50-megapixel front camera, selfies come out detailed and flattering. You can shoot from 0.6x to 2x on the front camera, making group shots much easier to take without relying on the rear lenses.

As for capturing videos, the Reno15 F 5G can record up to 4K at 30 FPS for both the front and rear cameras.

What's even great is you can switch between different lenses during the video recording itself. This is a good choice for both content creators and people who make daily video vlogs.

Videos are pretty stabilized thanks to OIS, and with Ultra Steady mode enabled, it does provide an even more stabilized shots at the expense of having limited resolution at 1080p, 30 fps.

Overall, both image and video outputs lean slightly toward warmer tones, but color consistency remains solid across lenses. For a phone in this segment, the Reno15 F delivers a camera experience that punches above its weight class.

Performance and Benchmark

Powering the Reno15 F 5G is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Yes, the same chipset as its predecessor, the Reno14 F. That's a bummer!

In real-world use, performance remains commendable and more than capable for everyday needs.

In my experience, the Reno15 F handled everything I threw at it with ease. Switching between work apps and personal tasks felt seamless, and even with multiple windows open, I didn’t notice any slowdowns. It’s a phone that simply keeps up with my day-to-day workflow.

What impressed me most was how well the Reno15 F handled gaming. Even during extended Genshin Impact sessions on Medium to High graphics, frame rates stayed steady with no noticeable stutter. OPPO’s Game Booster helped keep gameplay smooth, and lighter games like Mobile Legends also ran smoothly at High graphics and frame rate settings.

Running benchmarks, the Reno15 F didn’t disappoint. It hit around 600,000 on AnTutu V10, which lines up with my experience of smooth multitasking and handling heavy workloads without a hitch.

OS, Apps, and UI

On the software side, the Reno15 F 5G runs on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. OPPO’s software has matured over the years and it shows here.

Customization remains one of ColorOS’ strongest suits. From themes, icon styles, and fonts to always-on display options, users have plenty of ways to personalize the interface. Animations are smooth, transitions feel refined, and overall responsiveness matches the phone’s fluid 120Hz display.

Multitasking is also handled nicely. Features like split-screen, floating windows, and built-in AI tools make it easier to juggle daily task, whether you’re replying to messages while watching videos or managing work and social apps at the same time. The large display definitely helps maximize these features.

There are still some pre-installed apps to see here, but most of them can be uninstalled.

Overall, ColorOS 16 on the Reno15 F 5G feels stable, reliable, and lightweight enough for everyday use. It’s smooth, functional, and gets out of your way, exactly what you’d want from a daily driver.

Connectivity and Battery Life

Battery-wise, the Reno15 F 5G impresses me with its considerable upgrade in this area. At a massive 7000mAh capacity and with 80W wired fast charging, it easily outlasts its predecessor, giving me plenty of uptime without constantly worrying about running out of power.

Weirdly enough, in our PCMark battery test, the Reno15 F lasted 13 hours and 58 minutes. While that might seem modest compared to its huge 7,000mAh battery, in real-world use it performed even better. With a mix of social media, streaming, messaging, and some gaming, the battery easily carried me through a full day.

Our standard video loop test yielded a result of 25 hours and 10 minutes, which better represents our actual daily usage. The 80W fast charging system provides rapid battery recharge, reaching nearly full capacity within one hour. The device supports bypass charging, which provides power to the device during gaming sessions, reducing both heat and battery consumption.

Connectivity-wise, the OPPO Reno15 F has the essentials covered, including 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 5, NFC, and OPPO’s AI LinkBoost 3.0. I experienced strong and stable connections even in low-coverage areas.

Conclusion

The OPPO Reno15 F 5G proves that you don’t always need flashy upgrades to deliver a solid midrange experience.

What it brings to the table is a well-rounded package, stylish design, durable build, a smooth AMOLED display, reliable performance, and cameras that are more than capable of producing social media, ready shots.

Day-to-day use is where this phone really shines. The 7000mAh battery comfortably lasts up to two days with moderate use and the 80W fast charging ensures you’re not tethered to the wall for long. Whether you’re streaming, gaming, or juggling multiple apps, the Reno15 F handles it all without unnecessary drama.

It may not be a groundbreaking leap over its predecessor, but OPPO refined the right areas that matter most to everyday users.

If you’re coming from the Reno13 F or older Reno F models and looking for a stylish, dependable daily driver under PHP 30K, this one deserves a spot in your shortlist.

However, if you’re already using the Reno14 F, the upgrades here might not be compelling enough to justify the jump.
