Samsung's next update can now disable Bixby button

Samsung will now let you have the power to disable its dedicated Bixby button.

Bixby can be summoned by long-pressing the home screen button of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note8. To some users, they find the assistant troublesome, especially when navigating on the home screen. Some also use similar voice assistant applications which overlaps Samsung’s native assistant.

For this new feature to work, Bixby needs to be updated first. Samsung has just started deploying the update which means not all users can update immediately and will have to wait for it to come to their country.

Samsung’s Bixby is a virtual assistant for users which is equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI). The company also said that it is constantly learning over time with its “natural language” recognition technology.
