Your Twitter feed were mostly Elon Musk’s too? So was ours

Tuesday morning, we noticed that most of the content appearing on our Twitter account were replies and tweets of Elon Musk.

A staff at The Verge noticed it too and counted five Musk-related tweets at the top of their feed which also happened to my personal account with seven at most appearing on my feed.

The same instance apparently applied for other users as well.

This issue emerged only a few days after the tech mogul publicly complained about his tweets that weren’t getting enough views and even fired a top engineer of his in response.

The Verge’s Zoe Schiffer and Casey Newton reported that while Elon Musk’s account gained peak popularity in search rankings in April 2022, engagement has since declined considerably. Even though engineers did not discover any problems with Twitter’s algorithm.

As of writing, Musk’s tweets were still appearing on top of the feed of both my personal account and Yugatech’s even if I spammed the refresh button.

Elon Musk himself tweeted an image or rather a NSFW meme, implying that he is aware of the situation.

He also told to stay tuned while they make adjustments to the “algorithm” in his latest tweet.
