Beats Audio, makers of premium headphones (premium prices too), might soon be a part of your iPhone, iPod, and iPad.
소문에 따르면 Apple가 인기 있는 Beats Audio 제품을 만드는 Beats Electronics를 32억 달러에 인수하려고 고려하고 있다고 합니다. Beats는 최근 10억 달러가 넘는 가치가 매겨졌으며, Apple의 약 1,590억 달러에 달하는 거대한 현금 보유액에도 불구하고 이번 인수가 성사된다면 회사 최대 규모의 인수가 될 것입니다.
Beats Audio가 모바일 기기에 통합된 것은 이번이 처음이 아닙니다. HTC는 Beats의 50.1% 과반수 지분을 보유하고 있었으며, 이전 플래그십 스마트폰에 특별한 Beats Audio 브랜드, 이어폰 및 소프트웨어를 제공했습니다. 그러나 높은 비용과 낮은 수익으로 인해 HTC는 프리미엄 이어폰 제공을 중단하고 결국 지난해 Beats 지분을 매각했습니다.
Beats Audio also recently launched their own music streaming service that competes with the likes of Apple's iTunes Radio and the more popular Spotify.
i think nice move for apple if they consider buying beats…kasi naman ang pangit ng quality ng headfones ng apple tunug lata kaya to kung ikumpara mo sa beats…

There a a lot of other brands out there who could provide the quality headset that APPLE needs without the overHYPE ($3.2 billion, sheesh, talk about waste of money)
@atvmfn i think tama ka jan, beats kasi masyadong overhyped, pero i like the heavy base ng mga products nila..
