Android KitKat 4.4.2 update for Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Listen to article

Sooner than expected, Samsung started rolling out the KitKat update for its flagship device, Galaxy Note 3.

The latest and greatest Android update is hitting your Note 3 devices very soon. The update started in Poland via Samsung’s proprietary software Kies and more regions will soon follow.

Samsung did not release a listing of the new features but a SamMobile insider were able to have an internal document on hand and here are some of the new features:

– Music album art will now be displayed on the Lock Screen when the music player is active
– Camera shortcut is displayed on the lower right of lock screen
– More Emoji icon support
– Selection of default messaging app between Messages and Hangouts
– Easier selection of home launcer (Either TouchWiz Basic or Easy home and 3rd party laucher)
– Integrated and more detailed location services.
– Wireless printing service
– Updated Google apps

Also, along with the phone update, you need to update your Gear Manager app (Galaxy Gear app) to version 1.6 for optimization and use of the new Email application on Galaxy Gear.

The update should be coming here in the Philippines within weeks or next month.

Nagupdate ang Note 3 (Globe Provided) ko last March 6, after update may 2 problems ang note 3 ko. (1) home button is no longer working and (2) ung notification panel, ung katabi ng settings pag pinipindot ko no action na. Anyone who have the same problems?

Actually you can only find a few apps working under ART. Most of them still work strictly with dalvik :)

On the another side of news, looks like today is a bad day of HTC Users…

Wow, HTC is ripping those folks who’ve bought the One X and One X+.
