Twitter on Thursday has announced the rollout of its updated ‘immersive media viewer’ for its app that resembles the video scrolling aspect of TikTok, where users have access to seemingly perpetual trail of video contents.

The company is also adding a ‘video carousel’ on the ‘Explore’ tab that will bring up “some of the most popular videos” that are shared on the platform.

The said rollout begins with iOS users in the next few days while the video carousel on the Explore tab is currently available for iOS and Android users (using Twitter in English) in ‘select countries’.

Despite Twitter limiting tweets to less than 280 characters, the platform is seen to adding more and more features that makes it more than just tweets.  Twitter does say in their announcement that it wants the platform as “the best place for video.”
