I know I’m not alone in this predicament: we’ve all experienced struggling with our English grammar. There’s a lot of rules that need to be remembered, factors that need to be considered, and without constant practice, expect that once or twice, you’re going to be in a cringe-worthy situation.
So if you want to improve your grammar skills, you may want to try these five apps.
Author’s note: All mentioned apps are free of charge!
English Grammar Book covers 138 popular grammar points using simple explanations, many examples, and fun quizzes. There are two ways to study using this app: you can study all the grammar lessons by level (Easy to Difficult) or you can pick whether you want to study Nouns, Verbs, Articles, Adverbs, Verb Tenses, etc. as all lessons are grouped together by types.
1200 English Grammar Test, apparently, covers 1,200 English exercises and is divided into two levels. Each one contains 30 tests with 20 exercises. The cool thing about this app is that after completing a specific test, you’d be able to see which aspects of English grammar you are good at and which of them require more practice. The app will also explain why your answer is not correct.
English Grammar Handbook has tons of practice tests such as Grammar In Use (Active or Passive Voice, Articles, Auxiliary Verb, etc.), Grammar Tenses, Vocabulary, and Reading Comprehension. It also features a Writing English skill test and English videos for you to learn more about the English language.
Though the first app on this list has the same name as this one, English Grammar Book features detailed explanation for every topic covered and explanations are shown using tables for better understanding and reading. It has tons of practice tests, from Active or Passive Voice to Reported Speech, and much more.
English Grammar Test will help you improve your grammar skills by taking you through a wide range of grammar topics from Nouns to Tenses. It contains 1,000 English grammar exercises for you to practice on, as well as 160+ English lessons. After each test, the app will show you the list of errors you committed. There will also be an Evolution Table to see your progress.
And there you have it. These apps will truly help you if you want to level up your grammar skills. Don’t forget to leave us a comment down below if you have any more suggestions!
