Realme has revealed new information on its next OS major upgrade, realme UI 4.0 bringing enhanced security, updated design, and optimizations on top of Android 13 core features and functionalities.

Apparently, the most significant change lies in OS security as realme UI 4.0 adds Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). Users will be able to store personal photos, music, recordings, videos, documents and more with a highly secure lock providing a full range of privacy protection services.
Furthermore, users also have the ability to ‘auto-pixelate’ personal information that may appear on screenshots from frequently used messaging apps with one tap.

The upgrade adds Powerful Dynamic Computing Engine boosting overall performance and reducing power consumption. Its figures claim that there have been a 10% improvement on performance, 4.7% longer battery life during gameplay, and the max temperature is reduced by 1 degree Celsius.
There is also the Quantum Animation Engine 4.0 which optimizes animations. “It adopts AI technology learning from the patterns of your gestures and adapting accordingly, which helps adjust the animations to be experienced in a smoother and more intuitive way.”

Turning onto aesthetics achieves an ‘intuitive design’ that particularly manifests in the icon design. “The texture of the icon is designed to be much richer with more layers and shadows,” a realme moderator said in an official community post.

Another highlight is the Smart Always-On Display (AOD) that adds a lock screen player UI for Spotify, new clock designs, and interestingly, a card that informs you ‘real time delivery reports.
