Asus and Garmin has partnered in developing this very capable phone with full GPS capabilities. The co-branded Garmin-Asus nuvifone M20 smartphone was unveiled last week, just in time for the Mobile World Congress 2009 which starts tomorrow.

Asus-Garmin nuvifone M20
2.8″, 640×480 pixels, 65K, TFT with touch lens
WiFi 802.11 b/g
3G/HSDPA
4 GB or 8GB
Qualcomm 7200A 528MHz CPU
GPS
Bluetooth 2.0+EDR
mini USB 2.0
3MP camera auto-focus
Microsoft Windows Mobile Professional 6.1

I liked the idea that it has that optional accessory you can attach inside your car for some hands-free turn-by-turn assistance (was actually looking for a similar cradle for my iPhone 3G and Nokia 5800).
The phone will have the pre-installed maps by Garmin which has been providing LBS devices for decades (so this phone might offer better performance in the GPS department). There’s no word on the price yet but Asus and Garmin is epxcted to release this model before end of the 2nd quarter of 2009. The two also earlier announced the Garmin-Asus G60.
