Asus just announced a new 3.5-inch touchscreen phone. The Asus P835 is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and has a built-in wifi access point capability.
3.5 inch 65K-color touchscreen, 800×480 pixels
Qualcomm 7201A 528MHz
288MB SDRAM, 256MB ROM
HSPA (7.2Mbps downstream, 2Mbps upstream)
4GB Internal Storage + MicroSD with SDHC support
WiFi 802.11b+g
Bluetooth 2.0+EDR
Built-in GPS with aGPS support
5 MP autofocus camera
0.3MP front-facing camera for video calls
Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional
The Asus P835 comes with built-in WiFi Access Point so you can share your 3G connection with a maximum of 10 other WiFi devices (you can do the same with JoikuSpot on your phone). The 1100mAh battery seems a little underpowered though.
There are several office productivity apps pre-installed (PDF viewer, Word/Excel editor, Powerpoint viewer, Business Card Recognition) including an Opera Mobile browser.
yuga,
who is the one carrying this in the Philippine market? I got my P735 from Wellcomm… I haven’t seen this yet at Wellcomm.
Thanks.
I already use JoikuSpot on my E71, but I’ve never tried out how many I can actually connect to it. So far I’ve had a laptop and another PDA access the internet via the E71.
Anyway that’s a pretty good processor.
the specs of these is awesome!,,,,,,
however WINDOWS MOBILE 6.1 is a turn off for me…
from other reviews that i have read WM6.1 is not a great mobile OS for touchscreen phones….
how thick and heavy is this? any review soon? tnx.
Wow! That’s one neat phone.
Abe, do you know any other websites (other than ebay and tradeport) where we could buy stuff with unverified paypal accounts?
