Performance and Benchmarks

Powering the Excite Prime is a 1.4GHz MediaTek MT6592M octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM. Performance is good as we didn’t experience lags, crashes or random reboots. UI navigation is fluid with smooth transitions in between apps. It is also good for gaming but don’t expect the same performance you can get in flagship devices. Take a look at the benchmark scores below.

Connectivity and Call Quality

Connectivity-wise, the Excite Prime supports dual-SIM, 3G connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS – the basic configuration. What’s lacking though is LTE connectivity which probably helped in keeping its cost down. Mobile data and call quality is good as well as long as you’re in an area of good reception.

Battery Life

Given its size, we were expecting the Excite Prime to carry at least 3,000mAh battery, but Cloudfone only equipped it with a 2,820mAh. Still, it’s pretty much decent especially for a light to moderate user who is mostly on social apps and web browsing.

In our PC Mark benchmark, its battery life was rated at 8 hours and 6 minutes. While in our video loop test (Airplane mode, Full HD on loop, 50% brightness and volume with headset plugged in) it managed 9 hours and 36 minutes of playback, which is average.

Conclusion

After our time with it, we still find it unbelievable that the Cloudfone Excite Prime is priced under Php4K as most of its strongest points are usually found on offerings that are at least Php5K. It has a nice build, good HD display, decent performance, good camera (but needs some improvement in AF speed), Android Lollipop, and an average battery life. It’s not perfect though, as there’s no LTE connectivity and has an underwhelimg loudspeaker, but if you’re in a tight budget and don’t mind the cons mentioned, the Excite Prime is a good buy.

But it happen na may mga apps application na recommended for download. sobrang annoying nya though naka block naman sya sa settings pero from time to time na ioopen ko yung phone ko lagi syang nag aappear. What do I need to do para mag stop yung pop-up nun buti sana kung useful yung App d naman.

Tip> For much smoother press and swipe/lock
Go to settings>look for the build number in About phone > Status>Press it 7 times > Go back to your settings look for the developer option > Look for the animation option for the default that should be set to 1.0 set all the animation settings to > 0.5x or just choose none(Im currently using none).

Result: Much smoother navigation Hope this will help you guys :D

I have one like this too. ExcitePrime At first i was very happy because maganda talaga yung phone and i feel na sulit ang bayad ko. I brought one last June 2015 pero around October 2015 after 4 monthsNasira na agad ang touchscreen ayaw na gumana ng ibang letters sa keypad. Tiniis ko kahit ganun pero just 2 weeks ago new year’s day ayaw narin mag read ng Sim card hindi ko pa dinadala sa service center buti nalang may nag regalo sakin ng new phone, pero wala pang 1 year ito sira na agad kaya ibig sabihin di talaga matibay i had the same experience with cherry mobile. Buti pa yung Iphone 3 ko napag lumaan na ng panahon almost 7 years na pero gumagana parin.

THIS IS NOT A GOOD PHONE. Bought one in JUNE 2016 sa SM Cubao the next month it’s not working anymore. Even if I was not using it, it keeps on browsing different applications installed. Nanginginit sya tapos me mga part ng screen na di gumagana. All of the phones I bought tumatagal sa akin until ipamigay ko sa iba. And maingat ako sa gamit, but this one is surely a disappointing product. Pinaayos sa service center sa ortigas. After a day balik na naman sa dati. OMG! Sayang lang pera pag bumili nito… Definitely a waste!

Excellent phone for an unbelievable price! Worth it. I can’t believe na 4k lng ang exciteprime. I was scared to buy it pa kasi nakakaduda ang price pero all my doubt was erased. I’ve been using it for over 1 month pero wala pa akong naeexperience na problema. Very satisfied with its 16gb rom, processor, camera and bonus pa sa spotify earphones! Highly recommended! ???? Great phone in a great price! ????

bumili ako white unit 2 days ago. okay siya, recommended! sa 2gb ram and 16gb rom panalo. looks great for a 4K peso backup phone. installed apex launcher agad para ma customize ko UI. ewan ko bakit laggy siya for an octacore parang hindi optimized. may split second wait bago mag react sa button press etc. pero baka unit ko lang ito. will try seeder siguro but any suggestions to speed it up without rooting is appreciated. tnx

I think you need to open up your dev options and make the animations a little bit to .5x there are three options that you can make it like that. kalikutin nyu nalang po. :)

Excite Prime user po ako and been using it for three weeks, masasabi ko this one is a great phone considering yung price and specs really good at so far wala pa nmn akng na encounter na problema everything works well from camera to processor overall maganda sya satisfied ako at it’s really a great savings for your money.

Android Lollipop usually takes 4gb of space, +pre installed apps so 10gb is already a good amount. Some phones actually leave you with 9 or less.

Research muna bago mag comment ng “FAKE”, libre na nga google di pa gamitin. Parang utak, libre pero onti gumagamit.

Cloudfone was my first android phone for I was an iphone user before. actually matibay ang cloudfone compared sa cm and mp. I still have my cloudfone excite 500q for over 2 years now and still works perfectly though cracked na ung screen. In terms of warranty, don’t expect too much from them but to tell you honestly, bihira may magpagawa ng cloudfone coz it has a good quality. I have a friend that works with memoexpress and he was the one who promoted this brand to me and even explained the reason globe partnered with cloudfone is because of the quality of their product compared to other local brands. ang downside lng talaga is walang accesories to sa market.
