Performance and Benchmarks
Powering the P9000 is a MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 chipset paired with a Mali-T860 MP2. There’s also a whopping 4GB of RAM and enough 32GB of expandable storage. General performance of the device is fluid and since we’re not dealing with any heavy skin on top of the Android 6.0, there’s nothing slowing it down.

Even gameplay is good on the device. We were able to play Asphalt 8 well, although there are some occasional drop in frames after the first race, and kill zombies with Dead Trigger 2. It’s worth noting that the aluminum frame gets warm after minutes of gaming while battery temperature holds up around 45-degree Celsius.
Here are the benchmark scores of the P9000:
* Antutu Benchmark 6.1 – 45,241
* PCMark – 3,907
* Quadrant Standard – 18,109
* Vellamo – 4104 (Browser), 1287 (Metal), 2339 (Multicore)
* 3DMark – 584 (ES 3.0), 412 (ES 3.1)
Call Quality and Connectivity
Voice clarity through the earpiece is average and conversation using the mics are just okay. We do hope there’s more volume through the earpiece to compensate for background noises when on the road.

Connectivity-wise, the essentials are on board like LTE Cat4, Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS w/ A-GPS support, and even NFC as a bonus. Everything works fine and well. Cellular reception is okay but can get spotty at times even when our other phones have signal bars.
Battery Life
There’s an ample 3000mAh Li-ion battery sealed inside. On paper, you can expect a full day of use. With the traditional video loop, where we played a 1080p clip in repeat on half brightness, Airplane mode, and 50% volume using headphones, it was able to last for 7 hours and 41 minutes. A more definite test with PCMark gives it 4 hours and 38 minutes.
Conclusion
After using the Elephone P9000 for about a week, we can say it’s a decent smartphone overall. Its design gives it a sophisticated impression, the power it has is a feat for its price, and it has good optics which what most users want. For Php11,499, the handset gives you more compared to other manufacturers in the market. You can get one in Lazada with a free wireless charger for every purchase through this link.
