Globe announced that it has received the GSMA Open Gateway Certification for its upcoming Number Verification API, confirming that the telco has fully complied with the global technical specifications (Version 1.0).

The certification ensures that Globe’s API offering meets international standards for security, interoperability, and consistency, providing developers with a standardized experience across different networks.
The Number Verification API is designed to help strengthen digital transaction security in the Philippines by preventing fraudulent activities such as account takeovers and fake account creation.
Globe says this move reinforces its role in building a safer digital ecosystem as digital financial services continue to grow.
Once deployed, the service will allow financial institutions and enterprises to leverage Globe’s network for real-time mobile number verification, adding an extra layer of authentication for transactions. The API also promises simplified integration, making it easier for banks and businesses to adopt.
GSMA also commended Globe for this achievement, highlighting the role of CAMARA-certified APIs in giving enterprises confidence in building standardized and interoperable services.
Globe adds that the milestone is part of its broader enterprise strategy to roll out advanced API solutions for fraud prevention and other security-driven services.
