Huawei Porsche Design Mate RS unveiled

Huawei, in partnership with Porsche Design, has also announced a new luxury smartphone in the form the Porsche Design Mate RS. It is the world’s first smartphone equipped with microcapsule PCM – an aerospace cooling technology for maintaining a safe temperature.


Just like the P20 Pro, the Porsche Design Mate RS comes with a triple Leica camera setup: 40MP f/1.8 RGB sensor, a 20MP f/1.6 monochrome sensor, and an 8MP f/2.4 sensor with a telephoto lens. It dons a 6.0-inch OLED 2K curved display, as well as an in-screen fingerprint scanner that allows users to wake up the device by floating their finger above the display. The device will also feature TÜV Safety Certified HUAWEI SuperCharge.

The Porsche Design Mate RS features the same 4,000mAh battery with AI Battery Management as the P20 Pro. This device is the first smartphone from Huawei to enable quick wireless charging.

    What does it mean when a luxurious phone Porsche design has no notch at all? Others embrace it, but notch even Porsche themselves (because it’s not luxurious)!
