Huawei P40 series renders leak

Renders of Huawei’s upcoming P40 series have surfaced online, showcasing its rear camera design and different colorways.

From the photo tweeted by Evan Blass (@evleaks on Twitter), there will be three variants of the P40 series, the P40, P40 Pro, and the suspected P40 Pro Premium. While at first glance, it may seem like only the sizes are different, but looking closely, we can see that the number of cameras varies between the three devices. The regular P40 will only sport three rear cameras, the P40 Pro will come with an additional periscope lens, and the P40 Pro Premium will have an additional periscope and TOF lenses. As for the front cameras, the first leaked renders show a dual-camera setup housed in a pill-shaped punch-hole module.

Other details that have surfaced report that these devices will come with the dual-mode 5G capable Kirin 990 chipset, and use a ceramic material for its body. The P40 Pro Premium is also reported to have a WQHD+ (3160 x 1440) OLED display capable of running at 120Hz.

Stay tuned for our coverage on the Huawei P40 series launch on March 26 for additional details on its specs, availability, and pricing.
