HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series adds Wheelchair Mode

Listen to article

Huawei has announced an inclusive upgrade to the Activity Rings feature on its smartwatches. The new Wheelchair Mode is designed specifically for wheelchair users.

The brand states: “Around the world, more than 80 million people use wheelchairs. With the power of technology, we can empower every individual to rise to their greatest potential.”

Launched on November 29, 2025, the Wheelchair Mode allows users to track daily activity by accurately measuring wheelchair pushes instead of steps.

Activity Rings have been redesigned with updated icons, motivational messages and optimized algorithms to better reflect wheelchair-based movement.

A new workout mode called ‘Rolling’ will roll out by the end of December. The HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series will be the first to support it. The mode tracks push frequency and count for more precise activity data.
