Jide announces Remix Pro, a Surface-like tablet running Android

Jide has just announced its second generation Remix OS tablet — the Remix Pro. It is similar to Microsoft’s surface line-up which function as a 2-in-1 tablet with a keyboard cover that transforms the slab into a laptop. The device will come pre-loaded with Remix OS, a productivity-oriented version of Android with features such as floating windows and Start Menu just like in the Microsoft Windows.

The tablet will be the first device to launch with Remix OS 3.0, a custom OS developed by Jide which was based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, notable features include added stability and bug fixes. The Remix Pro is available in China for now, local availability and pricing is yet to be announced so stay tuned.
