The awaited LG G4 was recently priced for pre-orders in South Korea and it apparently costs more than the Samsung Galaxy S6. Find out why right after the break.

LG G4 was listed over at SK Telecom and T World Direct’s website (South Korea’s local carriers) with an asking price of $825 (approx. Php36.4K). This puts the new flagship $30 more expensive than the 32GB Galaxy S6 when it came out. Although do take note that an official representative from LG Electronics told ETNews (a Korean IT site) that the listed price isn’t entirely final, but would most likely be in the same range.
The company’s Korean representative also mentioned that this is because LG G4 is poised to be more of a Galaxy S6 Edge competitor because of its advanced camera, premium form factor, among other things — putting it in the position to demand a higher tag than the S6.
So far, it’s been revealed that the new LG G4 will tout a 5.5-inch QHD IPS Quantum display, Snapdragon 808 CPU, 3GB RAM, a 16MP rear camera, 3000mAh removable battery, and a microSD slot.
Update: we want to make it clear that the price and the reported LG official were both from South Korea. As for the local pricing there are still no word until it makes its Philippine launch so keep on checking this page for the official specs when it arrives.
