LG’s new line of Optimus handset is set to be launched this April 21. The Optimus L3 E400 is an affordable 3.2-inch, entry-level Android handset that’s probably targeted to the same market as the Samsung Galaxy Y.
The compact design of the Optimus L3 holds a double-edged sword — it’s very light and pocketable yet comes with a relatively small screen (it’s still wider than the Galaxy Y by a fifth of an inch).
The specs are decent but certainly screams entry level. The solid design and finish of the handset really reminded me of the LG Prada 3.0 though.
LG Optimus L3 specs:
3.2″ LCD @ 240×320 pixels
800MHz processor
1GB internal storage
384MB RAM
up to 32GB via microsSD
HSDPA 3.6Mbps
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 2.1
3.15MP camera
GPS w/ aGPS
Li-Ion 1500mAh
Android 2.3 Gingerbread
We’re still unsure as to the suggested retail price of the Optimus L3 but if we can speculate, I would say it will be within the vicinity of Php5,000USD 85INR 7,223EUR 81CNY 621 (if it wants to compete with the very popular handsets in that price category).
We’ll learn more about this handset, its retail price and hopefully draw up a review before then. Full review coming out next week, definitely before the launch.
