HMD Global has started rolling out Android 8.1 Oreo update for the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 smartphones.

According to NokiaPowerUser, the Android 8.1 Oreo (v5.580) upgrade rolled out for the Nokia 5 in India, Tunisia TA-1053, and Indonesia TA-1053 markets. While the Nokia 6 got it for the India TA-1021 market.

The upgrade brings the following improvements:
– Battery Saving Navigation Buttons
– Revamped Power Menu
– New Setting Menu
– Bluetooth Battery Percentage
– Update Google Security Patch 2018-03

The upgrade is almost 1GB in size so updating via WiFi connection is recommended. No word yet if the upgrade is already available for the Nokia 5 and 6 in the Philippines.
