nubia Air announced: ultra-slim smartphone with IP68/IP69K rating

ZTE has officially launched the nubia Air, an ultra-slim smartphone with an IP68/IP69K rating. It weighs 172 grams and measures at 6.7mm of thickness with the thinnest part of its midframe at 5.9mm.

It boasts a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with support for QHD+ resolution capped at 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 4,500-nit peak brightness and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.

Under the hood, it’s powered by a UNISOC T8300 with 8GB of RAM and 256 of storage. In addition, it packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W of fast charging.

For optics, it has a 50MP main, 2MP depth, and 0.08MP auxiliary sensor at the rear. It also has a 20MP selfie shooter and an in-display fingerprint scanner at the front.

The nubia Air is available in Streamer Black, Titanium Black, and Titanium Desert. Pricing starts at EUR 250 (~PHP 16K) with the device launching first in Europe.

It should reach Latin America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia soon. We’ll update readers should it be up for a launch in the Philippines.
