POCO F4 specs leaked, might come with older Snapdragon SoC

The specifications of POCO F4 have been leaked and it indicates the device will not use Qualcomm’s latest SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 nor Snapdragon 888.

Tipster Yogesh Brar disclosed in a tweet that POCO F4 will allegedly use an older Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 just like its predecessor POCO F3.

Below are the rest of POCO F4’s rumored specs:

• 6.3″ FHD+ AMOLED, 120Hz
• Qualcomm Snapdragon 870
• 6/8/12GB LPDDR5 RAM
• 128/256GB UFS3.1 storage
• Rear cam- 50MP + 13MP (UW) + 5MP (Tele-Macro)
• Front Cam- 32MP
• Android 12, MIUI 13
• 4,500mAh battery, 67W charging

Previously, POCO became popular mainly because its first smartphone—the Pocophone F1—was launched at a significantly lower price. And it was equipped with the top SoC at the time, Snapdragon 845. It was considered a “flagship killer”, but the early leaks about POCO F4 steps away farther from that label.

Additionally, POCO F3 was a rebrand of Redmi K40, and Redmi K50 renders were recently leaked by OnLeaks. POCO F4 could look a lot like Redmi K50 considering precedent instances of rebranding Redmi devices into POCO as K-series’ global versions.

No further details yet as when will POCO F4 nor Redmi K50 will arrive. For reference, POCO F3 was released in March last year.
