Qualcomm intros 205 Mobile Platform for entry-level phones

Qualcom Technologies, Inc. has recently announced the Qualcomm 205 Mobile Platform which is designed to bring 4G LTE connectivity and 4G services to entry-level feature phones.

The Qualcomm 205 Mobile Platform is designed for OEMs and ODMs that produces mobile phones for emerging regions such as those in India, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. It consists of the Qualcomm 205 SoC, as well as other hardware components including Snapdragon X5 LTE Cat 4 modem, RF front end, discrete Wi-Fi, power management, audio codec, speaker amplifier, and software.

Dual Core CPU at 1.1GHz
Qualcomm Adreno GPU
LTE Cat 4 modem with up to 150 Mbps download, 50 Mbps upload
Support for VoLTE, and VoWIFI
Support for 4G, 3G, and 2G networks
Support for 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 4.1, ANT+
FM radio
3-megapixel rear camera
0.3MP selfie camera
VGA display at 480p 60 frames-per-second
HD Video streaming
Support for Linux-based OS
Support for dual SIMs
Pin-compatible with Qualcomm Snapdragon 210/212

The Qualcomm 205 Mobile Platform is available today with devices expected to reach consumers in Q2 2017.

    why downgrade instead of upgrade? baka naman maghang apps nyan facebook and messenger tandem pa lang hang na ang mga low spec units

      This is for a feature phone, or you can call dumb phone. Yung mga may keypad pa, or something. This is great for people who don’t want an Android phone or iOS phone because of its price, this can get them have a similar connection speeds via mobile connection or wifi with the smart phones.
