realme has announced the GT 8 Pro today, boasting the newest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a camera system powered by RICOH GR, and a quirky ‘switch design’ feature.

The flagship chip gets paired with the Hyper Vision+ AI chip that allows gaming at 2K resolution and 120 FPS, at least according to realme. Notably, it has a claimed AnTutu score of over 4 million points which is likely a result from AnTutu V11 as it tends to show higher results than V10.

Its rear cameras include a 50-megapixel Ricoh GR main camera with OIS, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom, also with OIS, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera.

Interestingly, the phone features a ‘switch design’ where users can either choose a square or circle camera islands with varying looks.

Other features include a 6.79-inch 2K AMOLED display with anti-glare, and IP69 + 68 + 66 for water and dust protection.

Battery-wise, it packs a massive 7000mAh battery combined with 120W of wired- and 50W of wireless charging. The phone ships with Android 16-based realme UI 7.0 with an update policy of four OS upgrades and five years security patches.
